Year of Grace, Day 189. Origami flower and other unique Batanes flora

Can anyone identify this? I’ve dubbed it origami flower because it does look like someone had folded it into four lobes. Origami flwr croppedThis is a member of the ginger family, but beyond that, I can only guess at its species. Could it be Alpinia zerumbet?

Brown shell fruit open cropped I’ve not seen these plants anywhere else. Fascinating! I’d really appreciate knowing what these plants are, and if they have any interesting uses.
